Terms, Privacy and Copyright

Animated Doodle Maker (“the site”) is made and run by Michael Nguyen of MN Design (“I”, “me”). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

Terms of Use

What the site is

A free tool for drawing short animated doodles in your browser. You can download them as a GIF, PNG, SVG or project file, or ask me to email one to you or a friend. It’s for personal, creative use.

Your doodles belong to you

You keep all rights to the doodles you draw. If you use Email me, you let me handle that one doodle just enough to send it where you asked. I don’t claim anything else. You’re responsible for what you draw and who you send it to.

Sending to someone else

Only send a gift to people who’d want it, and only use email addresses you’re allowed to share. No spam, no surprises for strangers.

Fair use of the site

  • Don’t use the site to make anything illegal, hateful, harassing, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
  • Don’t try to break, overload, or interfere with the site.
  • Don’t copy the site itself (its design, code, title artwork or example doodles) and present it as your own.

Examples

You may open the example doodles in the studio and play with or remix them for personal use. They remain my work, so please don’t sell them or pass them off as yours.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Drawings saved in your browser can be lost if browser data is cleared, so download anything you want to keep.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of the site. The site is free, and my total liability for any claim is limited to $0 or the smallest amount the law permits.

Changes

I may update the site or these terms at any time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Privacy

The short version: no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking cookies. Your drawings stay on your device unless you hit Email me.

  • Your drawings and settings are stored only in your own browser (local storage) so they are still there next time. You can erase them at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
  • Downloads. GIF, PNG, SVG and project files are made right on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Email me. When you send a doodle, your email, the file type you picked, the doodle itself and (for gifts) your friend’s name, email and note go through Resend, the email service that sends it out. I use it to send that doodle and that’s it. Cloudflare, my host, keeps a short log of the request, and to stop spam my server counts sends by IP address and recipient email for 24 hours, then forgets them. No mailing list, and I never sell it. Resend keeps its own short-term copy under its privacy policy. Ask me and I’ll delete what I have and ask Resend to delete theirs.
  • Cookies. The site doesn’t set any. It uses your browser’s local storage only to remember your drawing.
  • Fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when the page loads. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • Hosting. The site’s host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, time and page requested) for security and reliability. I don’t use these to identify you.
  • Kids. The site isn’t meant for children under 13. If you’re under 13, please don’t use Email me.
  • Do Not Track. The site doesn’t track you across other sites, so it treats every visit the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
  • California residents. I don’t sell or share personal information. You can ask what I have about you, or ask me to delete it.

Trademarks and concept examples

Some example doodles reference real brands, such as the “HeyTea” example. These are fan concept sketches made for illustration only. All brand names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. The site is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of them, and no claim is made to their marks.
